Below are just a few pictures
from the 3rd annual event, Steel
Pony Express, here in New Orleans.
This family-oriented ran smoothly
as far as escorting riders in and the likes. Three-thousand riders
from the Gulf Coast
met up with another 3,000 from Gonzales, La. only to arrive after
the Pat Savage and Jay
B. Elston band had already played and to meet a little rain that
lasted only 15 minutes. Mostly Vets,
Christian motorcyclists, and independents attended but what music
we heard by the Marshall Tucker
band and Mark Farner from Grand Funk railroad was great! Of course
some creole and cajun foods,
bars (which was great prices on the drinks but not beer!), chasis,
and all the other great accessories
and crafts offered by the vendors made this an alright event. Wasn't
really worth the money
spent though with missing out on 2 bands.
